7.0.03 2023/11/20
  • Due to high user demand and discoverability, the RGB tab moved from System tab one level higher to show up now as a new main tab.
To achieve this, the former CPU temperature main tab had to be grouped together with CPU Speed, Multiplier and Power, these 4 assemble now in the CPU main tab.
  • Fixed a bug which would in some user configurations result in mainboard temperature and fan speed 'Ghost' values for Argus Monitor Gadget and CSV log file.

  • In the past few years, we have often received reports that the Argus Monitor icons in the notification area of the taskbar (system tray) could not be sorted or moved correctly in the order under Windows 10 and 11.
In addition, their position in the system tray was not retained for the next startup.
This was due to the visual framework we used, which caused the problems with the icons.
With version 6.2.05, we have therefore completely reworked the code for the icons in the taskbar notification area to allow better sorting and storage of their position.

  • Manual scaling of the program window:
In the past years we received from time to time requests if Argus Monitor could not be displayed enlarged or if the automatic scaling of Argus Monitor by Windows could not be switched off for systems with multiple monitors and different scaling factors.
With version 6.2.01 we have therefore introduced the option of manual scaling of the Argus Monitor program window, to be found under Settings/Display.
    • In automatic mode, Argus Monitor scales its size according to the Windows scaling factor (adjustable in Windows Settings), as before.
    • In the new manual mode you can adjust the size of Argus Monitor in different steps and thus override the automatic scaling of the program window by Windows.
This feature is currently still in BETA status as not all variants of possible Windows scaling factors and of possible setups for systems with multiple monitors could be tested yet.
